WHAT:                  Environmental groups come together in cleaning up Freedom Island and calling for the stop of all reclamation projects in Manila Bay

Sen. Cynthia Villar will be joining the activity spearheaded by Save the Bay (with former Congressman Mong Palatino as present chairperson), Save Freedom Island Movement, and the Earth Island Institute Philippines. Participating are the organizations Greenpeace Philippines, church groups led by the Stewards of Creation, and students from universities and colleges in Metro Manila, among others.

The People’s Initiative Against Pork Barrel Metro Manila coordinating teams will also be joining the clean-up and campaign against reclamation that they say has in a way been fueled by DAP.
